I'm off this morning to Charlottesville for my 30th law school reunion. I'm looking forward to visiting with old friends, walking around the grounds, playing a little softball and searching for a late night "grills with." Back to blogging sometime next week.Update: The Law School All Stars narrowly defeated the Class of ’78, 7-6. The alums led until the 6th inning, when our defense became too porous. The added bats of North Grounds Softball League co-founders Gordon Hylton, '77, and Fred Vogel, '77, were not enough to overcome the students’ lead, as the alums fell one run short in the bottom of the 7th, and final, inning. The game was professionally umpired by Professor G. Edward White. Oh, and the rest of the reunion was fun, too.

When you return, maybe you could explain to me the fascination that UVA law students have with softball. I played in their little law school tourney and I've never seen so many amped-up ex-jocks running around grunting, spitting and scratching themselves in inappropriate places.
Have fun!

I added the update just for you!
Best,
